Cornelian Cherry. A member of the dogwood family and found growing wild in southern Europe, east to Iran and south as far as Lebanon and Syria. Large shrub or small tree. Lovely orange leaves in winter and delicate yellow flowers in late winter. Edible bright red fruit in summer. Happy in either shade or sun. Fully hardy. RHS AGM H:2-5m.
