Sun-loving frost hardy perennial that produces a succession of bright purple-blue flowers throughout summer, contrasting nicely with the glossy green leaves and purple stems. The foliage has the charactersitic aniseed fragrance when crushed. Very appealin to bees and other pollinating insects. Well drained soils are pretty essential.

Agastache 'After Eight' is definitely hardy to -5C but in very cold parts of the country it might be worth growing in a pot and then over-wintering in a cold glass house or cold frame. .
