A large, architechtural herb with thick lush stems and fleshy leaves. The stems have a distinct aroma and are used as a natural sweetener. In summer very impressive green/yellowish flowerheads attract bees, butterflies and other pollinating insects. Also very ornamental when dry so useful in late summer and winter flower-arragements.
Angelica archangelica orefers semi shade and moist soil although we find it can grow quite happily in full sun so long as it does not get too dry. Height: up to 1.5m, possible a little bit more on more fertile soils.
