Magnificent summer-flowering perennial, producing massive pure white flowers, up to 20cm wide; looks stunning in the garden or as a cut flower for the house. Plant in a sunny position in deep fertile soils that remain reliably moist - prepare the soil well with well-rotted manure, and top dress with some fertiliser. Dry mulch with leaf liiter as winter approaches to protect the tubers.. Under the right conditions height may be as much as 1,25m, with flowers from early summer through to the first frosts in late September or even October.
