Recently introduced new variery, part of the so-called 'Cocktail' series bred in the USA, with neat mounds of light green leaves. Ruffled, semi-double and sometimes single flowers, about 30mm across, in orange-red are carried on purple flower stems from spring into early summer. Regular dead heading will lengthen the flowering period.

Geum Alabama Slammer, in common with Geums prefers moister soils, and is happy in full sun, more than six hours a day, or lightly dappled shade.

After flowering, cut back the foliage hard to encourage a fresh rosette of leaves, Easily propagated by dividing well-established clumps. Attracts both bees and butterflies.
