Delightful little plant for a sunny border - compact so will look best towards the front. Forms a mound small blue-grey leaves and then bears masses of light blue flowers on taller stems. Cut back in early summer after the first flowering to encourage more blooms. Should self-seed and enjoys good drainage. Native to the European Alps, and this sub-species (alpinum) is found at the highest altitudes. Fully hardy. Height and spread: 25cm
