Semi-evergreen perennial, spreading indefinitely; with solitary pale blue to purple flowers in late spring and summer. Attractive dark purplish heart shaped leaves. Native of Canada/Greenland. Prefers slightly moist soils, perhaps in some light shade. Fully Hardy. H:8-10cm.
Charming spring flowering violet for growing in any moist and lightly shaded position. Forms a low mound of foliage and in spring produces stems of pink to deep mauve and very richly scented flowers. Will self-seed and naturalize quite freely. Will also grow in full sun so long as the soil is reliably moist. Fully hardy. H: 10.
Long-flowering sweet violet, carrying a succession of sweetly fragrant white flowers in spring. Earliest flowers to emerge have a lovely pale blue tint which stand out nicely. Fully hardy and easy to grow. Semi shade preferred. H: 20cm
