Small, rosette-forming and evergreen hardy perennial. Umbels of fragrant flowers in a mixture of colours from purple and blue through to yellow-buff flowers in spring. Rather fleshy grey-green leaves sometimes with farination. Plant in moist but well drained soil and in semi shade if possible. Primula auricula 'Kaleidescope' makes an excellent pot plant, brough in to the house or to a prominent position in the garden during the spring flowering season, and spending the rest of the year somewhere cool and shady. Propagation is easiest by division in early spring. Primula auricula in fully hardy. Height:10-20cm.
