Hardy clump forming perennial with bright green basal leaves. Flush of pink-purple flowers on 1 inch flower stalks throughout the spring - starts flowering very early, in our experience from mid-February onwards. Plant in moist, cool soils in dappled shade - does well in pots as well. A plant that is aasy to grow and to propagate, by splitting. The clear bright flower colours have made this a popular garden plant as well as the parent of many hybrids. Fully hardy. H: 10-15cm
