An erect perennial, native to Peru, Saliva discolor has softly downy leaves, mid-green above and very strinking silvery-white below. Produces deep indigo-blue flowers throughout summer, about 25mm long, contrasting dramatically with the silvery-downy calyces. Not hardy below freezing, so grow in a pot and protect from frost over winter. Otherwise, grow in full sun and well drained conditions, liquid feed from time to time. Final height will be about about 60cm.
