(Synonym: Symphyotrichum novi-belgii) Late-flowering, fully hardy perennial, with rich magenta-red flowers with yellow centres.Very attractive to bees and butterflies and will add a vivid splash of colour to the late summer garden. Enjoys full sun but will equally flourish in dappled shade. Pinch back growing tips in spring and early summer to create a compact and very floriferous plant, and divide clumps every thrdr year if desired. H:80cm
