Turkish Hazel. Forms a beautifully symmetrical pyramidal crown, perhaps some 10 to 15m in height eventually, although perhaps one half that in East Anglia.
Corylus colurna will develop deeply furrowed and cosrky bark that is warm to the touch, Foliage is dark green and the whole plant will be dressed with long male catkins in spring. In common with our more familiar common hazel Corylus colurna will yield edible nuts in the autumn. Fully hardy.
