Rounded deciduous thorny tree with large glossy and quite 'leathery' green leaves turning brilliant orange-red in autumn. Dense white flowers with pink anthers in early summer will attract masses of bees, followed by an equally generous crop of orange-red fruit - perfect for the birds.
Crataegus persimilis prunifolia is fully hardy, happy to grow in full sun or partial shade in pretty much any decent garden soil. Awared the RHS Award of Garden Merit and quite right too as this is a very good garden tree!. Final height will be in the region of H: 4-6m.
