A very pretty ornamental tree, ideal for smaller gardens, offering both abundant flowering in spring and very ornamental fruiting later in the year. Heavily laden branches glowing with butter coloured fruit each autumn make this a stunning tree.
The masses of white flowers in spring add to its charm. The fruit of Malus 'Butterball' are ideal for making crab apple jelly.
Plant in moist, fertile and well drained soil in full sun. Final height will be in therregion of 5-6m.
