A very good example of a weeping crab apple, perfect for small gardens. Hundreds of pinky-red buds open to smother the whole tree with pink-flushed white flowers - loved by bees. Vivid red crab apples in autumn - great for feeding the birds in winter. The mid-green foliage will turn golden in the autumn, adding a third season of interest. Fully hardy. Plant in full sun and moist, well drained soil. H: 2-3m only.

Given its compact size, Malus 'Sun Rival' could also be grown in a large pot, provided it is well watered and fed.
