Unlike most flowering cherries which are grown for their spring blossoms, Prunus 'Royal Flame' goes to the next level, and besides a mass of fragrant, pure white flowers in spring, it also produces a most spectacualr display of richly coloured foliage: bronze-copper when emerging and vivid red, orange and yellow in abundance in late summer, possibly for 2-3 weeks,

Prunus 'Royal Flame' is well name and easy to grow, in full sun or light shade on most soil types that are reasonably fertile and moist. As the tree matures it will develop a pyramidal and evenly branched crown and will most likely be the most spectacular plant in the garden towards the end of the gardening year. Fully hardy. H:4-8m
