Fully hardy large multi-stemmed and spreading shrub or small tree. Deciduous, with heart-shaped mid-green leaves, and clusters of pure white flowers on more mature stems and limbs in spring. Tolerates most conditions, including full sun through to light shade. Rare in the UK, but very garden-worthy, forming an eye-catching centre piece in the spring garden.
Selected at the University of Illinois for it's abundant flowering, relatively vigour and extreme cold-tolerance.
Final height of Cercis 'Royal White' is likely to be in the range 3-5 metres, with a more or less equal spread.
