Truly wonderful form of Forsythia with an open draping habit that can either be grown as a specimen shrub or can be trained against a wall. The branches are purplish and bear drops of large lemon-yellow flowers, almost the same colour as our native oxlip, not at all like the bright golden yellow flowers that most forsythias have.

Forsythia suspensa 'Nymans' is an early spring-flowering hardy shrub, which will grow in full sun or dappled shade on any decent garden soil. Large soft primrose yellow flowers in profusion in spring, a much softer colour than the ubiquitous Forsythia x intermedia.

Cut old wood hard after flowering to encourage blooms the following years. A lovely specimen for an edge of a wood or in an informal border. Excellent choice! Attracts bees. Fully hardy. H: 2m
